    An average cavity or inlay preparation take approx. 12-13 minutes. Two to three instruments are mainly used for the purpose of caries excavation, preparation and a round tungsten carbide bur for the cavity floor. The instrument change and renewed alignment of the instrument cost time.

    The InPrep (Innovative Preparation) combines the three instruments in one; this reduces the time required.

    The KR Taper, Modified Shoulder form safety surface and 6 angles create the scientifically recommended cavity. The instrument has an inactive surface in the center, which extends one-hundredth of a millimeter above the diamond coating. This prevents undesired preparation in the deeper areas. Pulp exposure can thus be prevented even with the thinnest dentine. The customised, highly precise and required preparation depth is only attained using a gentle stroking motion.
