SUPER COARSE TURBO DIAMOND BURS incorporate Unimatrix® diamond free zone or “continual spiral of blank space” which offers several advantages:
- The diamond free zone breaks the surface contact of the instrument at the operative site, allowing water to flow promoting a cooler and cleaner cut. This maximizes cutting efficiency and eliminates excessive heat generation.
- Diamond free zones act like flutes on a bur which remove debris from the operative site. Since diamonds cat by grinding versus the chipping action of a carbide, Turbo’s will not catch or grab at amalgam or metal
- The continual spiral design of the Turbo Diamonds leaves precise, smooth axial walled preparations.
- Turbo Diamonds are available in friction grip (FG) Super Coarse only (180µm diamond particle).
