Premium Plus UK is committed to achieving Net Zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050, in line with UK Government targets and our ongoing commitment to sustainability and innovation in the dental products sector.
2. Baseline Emissions Footprint
Our baseline year is 2024. The emissions were calculated in accordance with the UK Government’s GHG Reporting Protocol using DEFRA emission factors.
Scope 1: Direct emissions (e.g, company vehicles, gas heating)
Scope 2: Indirect emissions from purchased electricity
Scope 3: Business travel, employee commuting, waste, and product transport

5. Carbon Reduction Targets
To support our Net Zero commitment, Premium Plus UK has set the following short- and medium-term targets:
– Reduce Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 40% by 2030 (compared to 2024 baseline)
– Reduce total carbon footprint (incl. Scope 3) by 50% by 2040
– Achieve Net Zero across Scopes 1, 2 and 3 by 2050
6. Carbon Reduction Initiatives
Premium Plus UK has launched a targeted action plan to reduce emissions across our warehouse operations, packaging processes, internal systems, and product ranges.
- Warehouse & Operations:
- Replaced air conditioning units with energy-efficient fans
- Launched waste management system for general, recycling, glass, and food waste
- Reduced total waste collections by improving internal waste sorting
- Smarting purchasing practices for reduced manufacturing and supply
- Packaging & Fulfilment:
- Replaced plastic tape and packaging with paper tape and void fill
- We re-use/ recycle supplier stock boxes for outbound customer orders
- Partnered with local packaging suppliers to reduce transport emissions
- Transport & Commuting:
- Introduced a staff car share scheme
- Launched a cycle-to-work initiative to reduce commuting emissions
- Product Focus:
- Expanded our Greenline product range – eco-friendly dental products with reduced environmental impact
- Reduce the amount of plastic packaging in our products
- Working with suppliers to reduce unnecessary packaging
- Digital Transformation:
- Introducing paperless invoicing and internal documentation
- Implementing a new automated ERP system during 2025 / 2026 to reduce manual input and energy usage, including paperless picking through its handheld digital software
- Reduced printing of marketing and commercial materials by prioritising digital formats
- Exploring more drop shipping to reduce transport and production emissions
7. Declaration and Sign-Off
This Carbon Reduction Plan has been approved by the board of directors at Premium Plus UK Ltd and signed by the Chief Operating Officer.
